Charles Woodson
Peter Schrager
Michael Vick
Julian Edelman
Charissa Thompson
I really like what the team is wearing this week on NFL Fox Sunday Kickoff and everyone can find some style inspiration in what the commentators are wearing today. It’s a mix of classic time less style, to modern edgy style to office friendly to dressing up. Let’s get into it.
Charles Woodson – Best Dressed
Charles Woodson is back on top with his style and my best dressed vote this week. I love how he’s wearing a sport coat with vest and trousers. Many times, men wear sport coats casually but here is a great way to wear a sport coat dressed up. First the pattern is not crazy loud and dressy and he is wearing a vest, tie and pocket square. All these accessories and laying pieces are complimentary but not stealing the show. I mean that the coat is getting all the attention and the accessories and vest compliment the look. I also love that he is wear dark grey trousers. They help make the look dressier. Sure, I would have loved to see Charles Woodson wearing his signature ascot tie. But he still looks like a million bucks today. Love your look today, Charles Woodson.
Charissa Thompson
I did some shopping this week being inspired by Charissa Thompson’s classic feminine style and what she is wearing today is staying true to her style. I love the red color she’s wearing. Ladies, I believe finding a color or pattern that looks amazing on you is the key to dressing well and feeling confident. Charissa looks amazing in red, and the dress is beautiful and classy. I also love how her accessories are minimal. Look at her shoes. You really don’t notice them (they are nude color) and they make her legs look longer. I love that her jewelry and hair is simple and not loud or bold. Many women make the mistake of wearing a bold color and the accessories are just as loud. To me, that’s too much. Take note of Charissa Thompson’s complete look for a timeless, effortless, and sophisticated look. She has been dressing this way all season.
Julian Edelman
What a cool and daring look Julian Edelman is wearing today. What guy wears a dk grey almost black pinstripe suit with a t-shirt and button cardigan?! I love his look. It’s a great way to wear a suit casually. Charles is wearing a sport coat dressy/more formal and Julian is wearing a suit more casually. I love it. I love how he takes risks with his style and has fun with it. Come on, he is on tv and can, however, gentleman, you can do this too! Everything he is wearing is classic:
Pinstripe suit - classic
White t-shirt - classic – (you have one of these in your closet)
Cardigan sweater – classic
Even if you take inspiration from this look and wear a sweater under your suit or t-shirt with your suit, please try this look. They key is the pieces are the same color or basic colors and no accessories- no tie, no pocket square, no lapel pin, or tie bar. Less is more and let the clothes make the statement. Especially for a casual look, don’t accessorize. Also, the pinstripe suit isn’t loud or bold. I had to get up close to see the pinstripe. And the suit fabric isn’t shiny. When fabric is shiny, it’s dressier. Love his look!! Don’t you?
Michael Vick
Michael Vick can you please maybe talk to Charles or Julian’s stylist? You don’t look bad and you look classic southern gentleman. I just want to see you in more innovative style. Can you pick a suit fabric in a darker dressier color? Pick a more modern tie and less bright colors? Can you lose the accessories? Michael, don’t get me wrong, you look handsome, I just would love to see you in a different look. You’re young and so good-looking. I just want more inspiration from you. Less bright color and darker dressier tonal colors.
Peter Schrager
Peter Schrager is wearing the same navy suit and tie we see week after week. Unlike Michael, Peter isn’t wearing a bold pattern ok looking tie, he doesn’t have 4 accessories. He’s wearing a blue suit and solid tie and always does. That’s it. Even if Michael Vick dressed like Peter (in black not blue) I’d totally be ok with it. Less is more. Also, I like how Peter has a Sunday morning suit uniform. I respect it. A lot of my clients do the same. It makes getting dressed so easy.
