As week 6 kicks off and I turn on NFL Fox Sunday Kickoff Show with my home-made cup of coffee, I wonder if the stylist talk to each other and share what their clients are wearing. The color choices for the commentator’s outfits all look great an complement each other. Watching them is very easy on the eyes because they all look great together.

Peter Schrager is not wearing a navy blue suit today! Gasp! He’s wearing a light/mid grey suit with a blue tie. Every week we see Peter wearing a navy solid or almost solid suit and the light grey looks good on him. Peter’s style probably won’t make the cover of GQ magazine and that’s totally ok. He’s a classic suit wearing man and looks very nice in a tailored grey suit.

Michael Vick you look nice in your suit. It’s a bold teal blue maybe aqua color with a navy blue plaid. It’s bold and bright and springy and very southern gentleman. I’m sure you love it and it’s nice but wish you would wear darker more contemporary suit patterns/colors. Sure, today the suit pattern and color goes well with your coworkers. I have seen it so many times before (it’s been done) and think you would look awesome in a darker color suit. I appreciate your suit being tailored and fitting you well. Here’s a great style tip – no matter what the suit color or pattern looks like on you and even if the color or fabric doesn’t look great, when the suit is tailored and fits you well, you look like a million bucks. The same goes when you wear a suit that the color and pattern look amazing on you, if it’s not fitted or tailored to your build, you don’t look that great in it.

Charles Woodson love your eggplant suit you are wearing today. I think the shade of purple looks amazing on your skin tone and it is tailored well to your build. Your shirt choice is pedestrian and would have preferred a solid color or more simple check pattern. It’s busy and think your shirt style is more minimal with your suit or jacket is loud. Your accessories look great and thanks for always inspiring men on to up their suit game.

Charissa Thompson your asymmetric lavender suit dress is so classy and edgy. You shoe choices are always on par and don’t distract from your dress. When I first saw Julian Edelman wearing a blue suit with a burgundy polo sweater under, I didn’t know what to think. At first, I didn’t like the combo. But the more and more I see it, it’s growing on me. Here is a great example to experiment with your wardrobe and wear pieces together that maybe go together maybe not but who cares. So many of my clients worry about fashion rules or making sure what they pair together is right. Honestly, who cares about “fashion rules” and have some fun with your style. What Julian Edelman is wearing today is just that. You may look and not like the suit and sweater combo. That’s totally fine. Some of you will look and love it and try it. That is what is so great about menswear today. Gentleman, you have a lot of options when it comes to getting dressed, have fun with your style!
