The Masters was back in action this spring from April 8th til the 11th. I always enjoy seeing what the golfers wear and this year there were many great looks. Many of the golfers have their golf uniform and brand who styles them. Unfortunately, I didn’t attend in person and get to see all these amazing golfers. One day I will! Until then, I am so grateful for Masters’ photographers sharing their photos. They tend to post photos of the better players and winners. I get it. Most people watching aren’t looking at the golf outfits, but instead paying more to the game. I enjoy watching what these amazing athletes wear and certain trends that you’ll see on a golf course near you.
At the last Masters in November of 2020, we saw many golfers wearing bright bottoms, color blocked polos and vibrant prints. This year the golfers toned down their outfits for cleaner and classier styles. Here is a recap of some of my favorite looks the golfers sported at the Masters this year.
Seeing Stripes
It’s spring and stripes are in season. Stripes are always popular in spring because it’s a nautical look and spring tends to be very nautical. The stripes were very clean and pastel. Nothing crazy or bold. Last fall, Hideki wore my favorite vertical stripe polo looks all tournament. This year, he toned it down and wore pastel horizontal striped polos.

Putting in Prints
Prints are a must for every golfer’s wardrobe. They took center stage this weekend. The prints the golfers wore were micro and classier. Mostly paired with contrast collars and tonal slacks Sebastian Munoz wore one of my favorite printed polos. The large floral print.

Here are some other great allover printed polos other golfers were seen wearing. Pay attention to the micro prints and even florals. It’s fresh and modern. It works because the colorways of the prints are all in the same family. Meaning, the print colors are all the same shades of blue or grey or pink (in one polo). If you are nervous about wearing prints, take note how some of these prints are the same color family and try that look when buying an allover print polo.

My Monochromatic Men
Monochromatic looks aren’t going away and always enjoy seeing men dressed this way on the golf course. There are 2 reasons….it’s sharp and I personally love wearing all black. But another main reason is golfers (like race car drivers) are billboards and have logos embroidered on their clothes. When golfers wear one color, the logos look cleaner and part of the outfit vs sticking out when on a stripe or printed polo. I completely understand having a sponsor and putting their logo on your chest and collar. When the golfer is dressed in one color, it looks cleaner, and you can focus on the golfer’s swing. VS all the logos.
