January is in full swing here in Phoenix and the big events in Arizona are approaching. From Barrett Jackson to Spring Training to (everyone’s favorite – including mine) WM Phoenix Open. Last year it rained and made going to the tournament more of a hassle. Let’s hope this year that sun keeps the rain clouds away and we can enjoy a fun party and a golf tournament.
If it’s your first time going to the tournament or you are a veteran and go every year, I wanted to share some wardrobe inspiration. Here are some great ideas on what to wear to the tournament. If you are sitting at the 16th hole, Greenskeeper or following your favorite golfer, here are some good looks to wear:
1.) Layer with a vest
It can be cold in the morning and a vest is the perfect layering piece. My clients especially love the Greyson Yukon X-Lite Vest because it’s light and not very puffy. Layer with a long sleeve polo, hoodie or your favorite polo.
2.) Layer with a hoodie
If you prefer a heavier hoodie, you defiantly need the Koko hoodie from Greyson. For Phoenix temps, it’s a great hoodie when it’s cold. When the temps warm up, make sure you have a polo or shirt underneath that you want people to see because you will want to take it off. My favorite light weight hoodie is the Saratoga Hoodie from Greyson. It’s a lightweight merino wool sweater and the perfect weight. Yes, you still want to wear a polo under (not a dress shirt – that’s too bulky). A polo is the perfect shirt to layer with the Saratoga Hoodie. Pair with bright shorts, casual pants or jeans.
If you would like a more casual hoodie, I recommend the Colorado Hoodie from Greyson. It’s made from their performance fabric and a lighter sportier look. Still great to layer with a polo or your favorite t-shirt. Pair with jeans, shorts or joggers.
